Paeonia suffruticosa

May 10, 2009

A sprouting seed. The deep purplish seed is laying on top of the
ground to the right of the base. I now have a half dozen volunteer plants
in various parts of the yard. At what point would it be considered invasive?!

Each branch now sports as many as a dozen blooms

Chinese Tree Peony - Planted spring of 2004. I have no idea how old it is,
but it's a good 4 feet tall with 10 flower buds spring of 2005.
This first bud opened 04/25/2005

Just after planting, spring of 2004

In bloom, spring, 2005
