It started to rain while we were waiting for our bus to arrive from Riga. Not really a downpour, just a gentle, Oregon type rain. When the bus arrived we loaded our flowers and met our guide Signe. She was an elementary school teacher from Riga and ran her tour very much like a classroom experience. It was cute.

The countryside is very flat, very green, and very empty. Lots of wide open spaces and rough roads. The bridge in Parnu is very narrow, as you can see. There was really nothing special about the Latvian border. The border crossing was basically uneventful.
