Salt Creek is exactly what its name implies - a small creek with salinity approximately the same as seawater. It only flows a short distance, emerging from the ground and disappearing back into the ground a mile or so later. Oddly enough, it contains a species of fish that, for obvious reasons, exists nowhere else in the world. I've never seen the fish. I think they are hidden well away from the prying eyes of tourists. The area contains a wealth of birds and odd plants. We arrived shortly before sunset and enjoyed the show in the sky.
