Ubehebe Crater - A volcanic crater created when magma welling up from deep inside the earth came in contact with the water table. The water flashed to steam creating tremendous pressure that blew the overlaying rock and soil for miles in every direction. It's an impressive half mile diameter, 500 foot deep hole in the ground. |
