Depoe Bay

Depoe Bay in January is highly unpredictable. We arrived to 15 foot breakers. Two days later there was snow on the rocks and the sand was frozen. The waves dwindled to absolutely nothing and the sun shone through cloudless skies.

Below are three photo albums. It was cold so we didn't spend a lot of time out and about. Yaquina Head is always photogenic and we went out there twice. Sunsets were spectacular. In the 'Telephoto' album, I attempted to capture whale spouts, sea lion antics and fishermen. Not pretty pictures. Just memories.
