Schlosskirche, the castle church in Wittenburg is the once Catholic church to which the 95 theses were nailed (according to legend). Now a Lutheran Church (Luther is actually buried here), one member of our group was heard to comment "This is no place for a good Catholic girl!" Of course, the Lutherans in the group were thrilled. We gathered around the stone marking Luther's grave and sang "The Glory of the Father".

Paying a couple of Euros gives one the pleasure of climbing the few hundred steps to the top of the tower. The view is worth every step. And, of course, the bells didn't ring (again).
